In many occasions I have heard that "one country has the leaders it deserves" I ended up thinking that any generalization is unfair. If a little more refinement that, if only for trying to put things in a balance more appropriate to my way of seeing things, I can say without reservation that the majority of voters who have chosen this or policy which will have the president they deserve, although that result in the minority merit that is not the elected political party.
All This comes up a couple of thoughts:
The interesting argument (I can not say "debate" because the majority of readers and participants the option we chose presidentialism) that Republic Rojigualda recently opened its Facebook , and recommend to all those English who are interested in something more than the football league and the doings of the famosetes of trash TV. While it is true that, as politicians and their doings, Spain, as a society and a nation - or what remains of it - have what it deserves Is no less true that there are citizens whose concerns go far beyond that to comply, since the complaint bureau, protest, or do not offer anything in return. Unfortunately, this does not happen to be the concern of a few, whose example can not permeate the consciousness of the vast majority of citizens. It is now more than ever, when you need a thorough review of political and social model in which we have experienced since the transition, but the political caste refuses to initiate this change to keep their privileges. Contrary to what you would hope, few deep media reports on corruption policy that invariably off many of the irregularities of any kind that we face.
The brazenness of the political class as a whole, and many of its elements in particular, to remain in office to avoid explanations and trying to confuse the public even in recent cases where the evidence points directly to themselves. Today, as decades of corruption issues are everywhere and with two common goals: money and terrorism. Is this what it deserves English society? At least, this is what they deserve who renewed their trust in politicians that govern us, despite their background. At the very least, well, those who refuse to accept this palpable reality to defend their own political color, or economic interest.
I think we've reached a point where it no longer optimistic. And that says who is considered optimistic by nature. This is already a case of moving or falling into the abyss. We can not have an opposition that, with few exceptions I personally hope to reap the benefits of the catastrophic and disastrous management of the Socialists during his two terms. The change is truly needed is far beyond an alternation in government. It imposes the urgency to amend the electoral law. Imposing a change of economic model that facilitates the creation of employment. It requires an effective separation of state powers, which in Spain has been absent since the beginning of the transition. Is imposed to the corrupt in their place. Imposed lose their fear and make them responsible for the wrongs they have generated.
many things are imposed. And in this time of crisis should charge more sense to quote Ronald Reagan: "If you fear the future, road salt. Stand aside. The people of this country is ready to move again, "
